This half-day course covers all aspects of Self-Care and Self-Help, looking at how you as an individual look after yourself, what your awareness is of how you react to situations, recognising when things get too much and what you do on a day to day basis, which is both positive and negative.  What stressors do you have that you are actually struggling to manage on a daily basis, let alone should anything else happen, be that at work or home?

Before you can be there for others, you need to be aware of how to look after yourself in the first instance and your ability to empathise and relate to what they might be going through, will be made simpler by going through your own journey. The individual you are trying to support, will also be more open to you, should you have been on a journey, compared to someone who has never looked inwards and is simply quoting words from a manual.

On completion of the course, the attendee will be provided with our unique “Self-Care Wheel” key fob, which has augmented technology within it. By simply scanning it with your phone, the wearer or individual they are supporting, has access to a host of videos, guidance and self-help coping strategies.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN

  • Learning and identifying your own signs and symptoms of stress or poor Mental Health.

  • Identify your baseline of good Mental Health and coping abilities, identifying self-care needs in times of high stress/poor Mental Health.

  • How self-awareness, self-care and self-help work together to empower and enable us, to better manage our own wellbeing, further developing yourself, identifying your stressors, learn how to manage any symptoms you may have.

Ultimately those attending will learn how self-awareness, self-care and self-help, work together to empower and enable us to better manage our own wellbeing. Through learning that one size doesn’t fit all and the importance of identifying what specific strategies work for you, you can learn to take better care of yourself and better manage on day to day basis.

Through learning about our 3Self Strategy and having the use of our unique “Self-Care Wheel” key fob, you will always have access to a host of tools and reminders, that will ensure you manage your own Mental Health and have the ability to inspire those around you to do the same.
